Overview
Discover a piece of rural Cambodia on this half day tour, which will take you into the heart of the Battambang countryside. After a quick introduction to Battambang and its history, we'll set off into the countryside to visit the homes and workplaces of local Khmer people, watching them going about their day to day life, and creating different traditional local food and drink products. And of course, you'll have a chance to taste them too! Find out how rice paper is made, watch sticky rice being cooked in bamboo tubes over an open fire, walk around an old factory where fermented fish paste is made, see dried bananas and banana chips being produced, visit a traditional old rice wine distillery - and more. You'll also have the option to visit the Wat Samrong Knong temple complex and killing fields.
