Itinerary
Stop 1
Khruba Siwichai, a well-known Lanna monk who started building the road to Phra That Doi Suthep, is honored by the Monument, which was built in 1935 at the foot of Doi Suthep. The foot of Doi Suthep Hill has a monument that honors Khru Ba Siwichai, a respected Buddhist monk who initiated the initiative, and a large group of Buddhists. The construction of the first 10-kilometer stretch of the road to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep was completed in 1935.
Stop 2
Wat Pha Lat, a jungle temple paradise. Jungle temples, as opposed to community temples that are found in the city, serve primarily as a calm place for monks to live and meditate. With old stone buildings, intricate carvings and statues, and plenty of breathtaking places to meditate, it’s clear why people claim Wat Pha Lat is a hidden gem in Chiang Mai.
Stop 3
Drive through Chiang Mai's western region to reach the Doi Suthep Temple, a landmark that is both famous and sacred to the locals. Doi Suthep is considered a must-visit for anyone who truly wants to experience Chiang Mai, according to Thai people.
Stop 4
San Kamphaeng Road, or the Handicraft Highway, is a good road that runs from Chiang Mai southeast for about 10km to the village of San Kamphaeng. You'll come across pottery, stoneware, silverware, lacquerware, paperwork, sculptures, jewelry, wood carvings, and silk products on San Kamphaeng Road.
