Overview
This tour is a off beaten track and can be only guided by a local tour guide.This pilgrimage trail was developed more than 2,000 years ago by the sharman named Xi Fu who served for the first emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang. Qin’s last strong wish was to live forever and ordered Xi Fu to find the eternal life medicine from the holy eastern mountain. There are many legends about Xi Fu throughout Japan and also in Fujiyoshida. Xi Fu recorded in the document about the history of Fujiyoshida and it said there were 7 shrines and head quarter shrine to do the ceremony of ascending to the emperor. The Japanese emperor’s title “Tennou” actually means the Northern Dragon, Hokushin, which is the deification of the Polaris and the big dipper. Visiting and walking the pilgrimage trail on the footage of Mt.Fuji will make you connect with the ancient people’s feeling and will have the meditation effect and to understand the meaning of the Asian dragon.

Headquarter shrine which is the central shrine of all 7 shrines where the main ceremony of ascension was held.

Kun’s filed shrine which worships the second human god of Japanese mythology named Kuni-satsuchi and his wife.
Stop 5
King of hemp shrine which worships the god name Sarutahiko who brought the hemp culture to Japan around 3,000 years ago.
Stop 6
Emperor’s shrine which worships Amaterasu, the goddess of the sun, and Susano-O who is the most mysterious god in Japanese mythology.
Stop 7
Mountain light house shrine which worships the god name Iza-nagi and Iza-nami who created the land of Japan and they are the 1st married husband and wife gods in Japanese mythology.
Stop 8
Dragon Ball shrine which worships the gods of unity. By connecting with the god of heaven and earth, your dream will come true.
