Itinerary
Stop 1
This captivating Kaohsiung excursion commences at the hotel. A warm welcome awaits you from our friendly driver just out in the hotel hall. Step into a comfortable, air-conditioned private vehicle, embarking on a 60 minutes journey through the scenic beauty of Kaohsiung.
Stop 2
A former warehouse in Anping District, Tainan, Taiwan. The "treehouse" name refers to the living banyan roots and branches that cover the building. Anping Tree House is located behind the Tait and Co. Merchant House, and was originally a Tait and Co. Warehouse. Built around the end of the 19th Century at the beginning of the Japanese Colonial Period, this place was also once a warehouse of the Japan Salt Corporation, and the current scale the building is the product of extension by the Japanese.
Stop 3
Fort Zeelandia was a fortress built over ten years from 1624 to 1634 by the Dutch East India Company, in the town of Anping on Formosa, the former name of central island of Taiwan, during their 38-year rule over the western part of the island.
Stop 4
Taiwan's oldest street, built by the Dutch, featuring stalls and shops, plus a maze of alleyways. Anping Old Street was the first street in Taiwan to be given a name. More than 300 years ago this was the first street built by the Dutch in Anping. In the early days, the street was built solely for pedestrians and push carts due to the fact that the street was narrow and there was not that much space to navigate.
Stop 5
Wushantou Dam is an embankment dam in Guantian District, Tainan, Taiwan. The dam was designed by Yoichi Hatta and built between 1920 and 1930 during Japanese rule to provide irrigation water for the Chianan Plain as part of the Chianan Irrigation system.
