Located on the slopes of Mount Lempuyang in East Bali (Karangasem Regency), it's famous for its iconic split gate (Candi Bentar) that perfectly frames a majestic view of Mount Agung on clear days.

Tirta Gangga is a beautiful former royal water palace located in East Bali, near Karangasem and Mount Agung. Built by the last king of Karangasem in 1946, it was largely destroyed by the 1963 Mount Agung eruption but has since been rebuilt and restored.
