Overview
Day 1: Along the Ganges Travel beside the holy River Ganges and visit key spiritual sites. Stop at Devprayag, the sacred confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi Rivers, believed to mark the origin of the Ganges. Later stop at Adi Bdri Temple ( group of 14 shrines ) n ancient Vishnu shrine and part of the Sapta Badri, dates to 10th century A.D. Day 2: Himalayan Shrines Journey deeper into the Himalayas to visit Dunagiri Maa Temple, a revered hilltop shrine surrounded by peaceful mountain scenery. Continue to the Mahavatar Babaji Cave, the spiritual highlight of the tour, where Mahavatar Babaji, master of Kriya Yoga, is believed to have lived. Spend time in quiet meditation and reflection. Option: If time permits you can explore the Dwarahat, famous for its 140 temples. Day 3: Return to Rishikesh On the return journey, stop at Hindu temple, a visit to Dhari Devi Temple, dramatically set on a rock in the middle of the Alaknanda River and revered as the region’s guardian deity.
