Itinerary
Stop 1
The Chronicles of Georgia is a very famous monument near the Tbilisi Sea. It is also called the "Georgian Stonehenge." It is a massive structure made of big stone pillars. The monument shows the history of Georgia. You can see many carvings on the stone. Some carvings show the life of Jesus Christ, and others show important people and stories from Georgian history. It is a beautiful place to visit. It is very high, so you can see a great view of the Tbilisi Sea and the city. It is a perfect place to learn about the country's past and take amazing photos.
Stop 2
Next stop will be Ananuri fortress , fortress situated on the foreland by the Aragvi River, not far from Zhinvali water reservoir and about 70 km from Tbilisi, Georgia. It was built by the Dukes of Aragvi and its earliest parts date from the 13th century. The fortress is on the UNESCO Tentative list. The fortress consist of two fortifications joined by a crenellated curtain wall. The upper fortification with a large square tower, known as Sheupovari, is well-preserved. Ananuri was a castle and seat of the eristavis (Dukes) of Aragvi, a feudal dynasty which ruled the area from the 13th century. The castle was the scene of numerous battles.
Stop 3
Next stop on the way in Gudauri – remarkable ski resort in Georgia. Resort is located at the altitude 2200 meters above the sea level.we will stop for friendship monument between Georgian and Russia and drive to kazbegi .
Stop 4
After Gudauri, we will continue our trip to the Kazbegi region. There, we will switch to our premium 4x4 vehicle for a comfortable and safe ride. This special car is necessary to drive up the mountain, where we will visit the famous Gergeti Trinity Church. From the top, you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the mountains that you will never forget.
Stop 5
On our way to the mountains, we will stop at the Zhinvali Reservoir. This is a very large and beautiful blue lake. It is surrounded by high green mountains, which makes the view look like a postcard.- Back to Tbilisi The lake was created by the Zhinvali Dam, which is important because it provides electricity and water to Tbilisi. When the weather is nice, the color of the water is a stunning turquoise. It is a wonderful place to take a break, breathe fresh air, and enjoy the beauty of the Caucasus nature before we continue our journey.
