Itinerary
Stop 1
Before the start of the excursion, you will be met by a guide at the hotel in Amman. Then the driver will take you in a comfortable car from the capital to the desert…Wadi Rum is a rocky desert in southern part Jordan, 20 km east of Aqaba city. The desert became famous after the historical events of the early 20th century and after the movies "Lawrence of Arabia" and "Martian". Today it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the second most popular site in Jordan after Petra. Approximately 5 million years ago, this entire territory was part of the bottom of the Tethys Ocean. Since then, the nature has created many different "sculptures" from the desert rocks. There are stone arches, canyons, free-standing stones of unusual shapes. In Wadi Rum, you will go on a jeep safari and the guide will tell you interesting story about the desert and you will be able to take many photos. At the end, you will be transferred to the hotel in Amman.
