The tour is lead by a trained and published photographer who can help you with your camera in case you need. This tour gives you a chance to experience the lives of the people who live by the river – the wrestlers (they expect a donation, which is negotiable and payable directly by the guests if they want to photograph them exclusively), the sadhus (ascetics) and common people whose life begin with a holy dip in the Hooghly. Not only does it give one wonderful photo-ops but also sets one going on the quest to know more about the lives of these people. Once one has soaked in a bit of the enigma of this life by the river one is ready to face the hustle and bustle of a very busy but vibrant wholesale and retail flower market. This market does brisk business in local seasonal flowers and fancy imported ones too! Tick this one if you want to visit and photograph one of the most photogenic places of Calcutta.
