After around 3-hour car ride, you will arrive at Chuxi Tulou Cluster, a Living World Heritage, is not only the cluster of Hakka culture, but also the most extraordinary type of Chinese rural dwellings. The cluster consists of five large circular buildings and 10 rectangular buildings. They are surrounded by enchanting mountains and streams. Their layout is arranged in a scientific and rational way. As a result, the cluster has high aesthetic value.You will visit Jiqinglou, Shengqinglou and Yuqinglou, which are typical of the Hakka earth buildings in Chuxi Tulou Cluster with the help of a local guide who will give you a detailed introdution of these attractions. You’ll get a chance to visit a local family and chat with host and hostess to know about their daily life and local customs. Then, walk along the field path in the back mountain of Chuxi to see the beautiful idyllic views. The terraced fields are built along the sloe-winding riverside up to the mountain top.
