The Garni Temple is a 1st-century Hellenistic temple located in the Kotayk Province of Armenia. It is the only surviving Greco-Roman temple in the former Soviet Union and one of Armenia’s most iconic landmarks.

A significant part of the monastery complex is carved into the limestone cliffs of the Azat River Gorge, making it an extraordinary example of rock-hewn architecture. Some churches and tombs are completely carved out of the mountain, offering a unique and mystical atmosphere.
